I've worked on POSIX functions. You can find the changes in my git tree:

git clone git://git.cynapses.org/gladiac/libssh.git libssh

There is a problem with sftp_readdir() or more precise with sftp_parse_attr. 
The 'type' field isn't mapped so everything is a regualar file and you can't 
walk a file tree with sftp_readdir().
